Data Protection

How Your Information Is Handled

This page explains what information is collected through this site, why it is collected, who processes it, and how you can exercise your data protection rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who Controls This Data

Isaac Martínez operates this site and is the controller of any personal data submitted through it. There is no separate registered entity behind this site. Requests relating to your data should be sent through the contact form linked at the bottom of this page, rather than by email, consistent with how this site handles all enquiries.

What Information Is Collected

Information is collected when you actively submit the contact form. If you accept analytics, limited technical and usage information is also collected as you use the site.

Contact details

  • Name
  • Work email
  • Company or organisation (optional)

Enquiry details

  • The type of enquiry you select
  • Your project or opportunity overview
  • Any optional project details you provide (stage, timing, tools, budget range)
  • Any optional role details you provide (role title, employment type, location, job link)

Technical information

  • Standard web server logs collected automatically by the hosting provider (e.g. IP address, browser type, request timestamps), used only for security and reliability
  • If you accept analytics: pages visited, interaction events, referral source, device and browser information, approximate location, and an anonymous visitor identifier

Why It's Collected

Your information is used only to review, respond to, and (where relevant) follow up on your enquiry. Analytics information is used to understand site traffic, navigation, and interactions so I can evaluate and improve the site. Information is not sold or rented to third parties.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent, given when you check the consent box and submit the form, and my legitimate interest in responding to business and professional enquiries sent to me directly. Analytics processing is based on the consent you give through the analytics notice.

Who It's Shared With

Your information is shared only with the third-party services this site relies on to function. Each processes data under its own privacy terms:

  • Formspark — Delivers contact form submissions to me. Formspark processes the fields you submit.
  • Google Calendar — Used only if you choose to book a call. The scheduling page is provided directly by Google.
  • Cloudflare Workers — Hosts this website and generates standard access logs for security and performance.
  • PostHog EU Cloud — Processes website usage events only after you accept analytics, to help me understand and improve the site.

Some of these providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where this occurs, they maintain their own safeguards under applicable data protection law.

Cookies & Analytics

PostHog analytics is disabled by default. If you accept analytics, PostHog may use browser storage and cookies to recognise an anonymous visitor and measure visits and interactions. If you decline, no analytics events are sent. Your choice is stored in your browser so the site can respect it, and you can change it through Analytics Settings in the footer. The embedded Google Calendar scheduling page may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy, outside this site's control.

How Long Data Is Kept

Enquiry information is kept only as long as needed to respond to you and, if an engagement follows, for the ordinary record-keeping period of that engagement. Analytics event data is retained only while it is needed to evaluate site usage and is deleted according to the PostHog project's retention settings. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data I hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Requesting Access, Correction, or Deletion

To exercise any of the rights above, send a request through the contact form and describe what you'd like done with your data. I will respond within a reasonable time.
